]]> The Ivorian Head of State Alassane Dramane Ouattara received on Tuesday, in Abidjan, Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) accompanied by the new boss of the African Football Confederation (CAF), Patrice Motsepe.

The latter was joined on the evening of Monday, May 3, 2021, in Abidjan, by the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino and the secretary general of the body, Fatma Samoura.

Just on his arrival on Monday in the Ivorian economic capital, Patrice Motsepe began his visit with an internal meeting with members of his delegation composed mainly of his vice-presidents.

He then had an important working session with members of the standardization commission of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), before meeting with his special advisor, Ambassador Jacques Anouma.

During their meeting, which is part of the launch of a Pan-African inter-school football tournament in Abidjan, football officials spoke with Alassane Ouattara on AFCON 2023 to be held in his country.

“We discussed the CAN 2023 to be held in Côte d’Ivoire and the important role that our country must play in African and world football.” said the Head of State after their meeting.

]]> Le Chef de l’État Béninois Patrice Talon a reçu en audience mardi le Ministre ivoirien de la ville, François Albert Amichia, un porteur de message du Président Alasane Ouattara.

Bien que tous les points de discussion entre l’émissaire et M. Talon n’ont pas été rendus publics, on apprend que l’élection prochaine du Président de la Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) avait également fait l’objet de discussion entre les deux personnalités.

« Je suis porteur d’un message de Son Excellence, le Président Alassane Ouattara, à son frère et ami, le Président Patrice Talon, Président de la République du Bénin. L’actualité sportive du moment, tout le monde la connaît ; c’est la prochaine élection du Président de la Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), » a déclaré François Albert Amichia.

Selon ce dernier, “l’Afrique de l’Ouest espère conquérir la présidence de cette grande Institution du football africain et espère aller de manière unie”.

« Son aîné, le Président Alassane Ouattara nous a dépêchés auprès de lui pour recueillir ses conseils et recommandations afin que l’Afrique de l’Ouest parte solidaire et unie à cette élection, » a-t-il noté.

Pour rappel, il y a quelques jours un autre minister ivoirien a été reçu par le Président Burkinabé, Roch Christian Kaboré, toujours dans le cadre de cette élection présidentielle de la CAF qui aura lieu le 12 Avril prochain.

Notons que quatre andidatures ont déjà été approuvées pour cette élection. Il s’agit de Jacques Anouma de la Côte d’Ivoire, Patrice Motsepe de l’Afrique du Sud, Ahmed Yahya de la Mauritanie et le Sénégalais Augustin Senghor.
